1. Rushi, Ravi, Sreekanth Starting from Koramangala at 5:30 am. Meeting Iggy at Hebbal flyover at around 6:15 I guess. Nobody is taking Options 1 or 2, we're straight going along NH-7 and meeting Option 3 people at the turn-off.
2. Celine, Rekha, Sanjay, Venkat starting from Option 3 (the turn-off from NH-7) at 7:15am. Rekha has one more biker+bike space if anyone needs a pickup along the route Koramangala (starting at 6:30) to Mekhri Circle to Hebbal to Nandi hills. Use yahoo! maps for this one, Phil :)

Johan and I are headed to the NH7 turnoff point as well, with a goal of getting there on-time at 7:15. (I say a goal because Johan is not a morning person. ;-)
Looking forward to meeting a lot of new people and having a good ride..
Here's something to pump you up for the climb: Lance Armstrong climbing the Alp d'Huez
Armstrong "faked" being sick early in the race over the first two mountain passes, and then destroyed Ulrich (white jersey and glasses) on this last climb of the day with one last brutal look back. Watching this video gives you no idea just how steep that road is.. The last 3 seconds of the video give a hint. 1150m climb in 15.5km.

What a great day.. I really enjoyed the biking and the company. Great to run into so many other avid roadies. It was only my second time on a road bike in many years, and it was great. I can't wait to go back..
on behlaf of the easy riders group- we had a wonderful , scenic,
albeit hot bike ride... 55km, one puncture, and several water stops
later ..we ceartinly want to do the ride again.. though this time we
should start from yelahanka turn off and ride up, past dodballapur to
nandi hills.. its quiet and green all the way through
sanjay- do post the photographs you took.

Hi all...sorry for the posting delay...was a part of the easy
group...it was my first ride of any serious distance, and I have to
say I enjoyed it thoroughly....I found the going tough especially
towards the end in completing the 56ks, but was very pleased to have
completed it. I will take the steps to bike more, after that. It was
also very good meeting so many different people, all of who were
clearly very keen on bicycling. A day very well spent, and many thanks
to all those who organized it, participated and ferried me and bicycle
up and down!

It was not a distance ride for me since Rekha was kind enud to give me
ride till the Nandi hill turn. I was keen on the climb and I did! :) 23
kms with 8kms of the climb. Obviously the climb was a good experience
(wish the weather had been more pleasant the sun was draining all the
energy). I reached the foot hill in 2 stops (one was actually a
puncture in sri's bike). The climb (my first ever) I did in 2 hops -
decent 5 minute breaks with loadsa water. It was interesting to see the
look on the face of all those guyz on there motor bikes whizzing down.
Some of them would wave some would smile others would cheer out loud.
The kids went berserk absolutely! :) These were the _highs_ of the
climb! :D In case of Ravi and other veterans the real kick comes from
actually beating the motor vehicles during the climb and other wise! ;)
I hope to get there soon! ;)
The best part of the day was the ride down - ephemeral but extreme
thrill - u do the Meg Ryan stunt from city of angels hoping u don't end
up like her! :D I was careful since the breaks aren't that gr8. About a
km from the foot hill I bumped into Srikant again with his puncture
(bad day for him I guess). Learnt how to fix a puncture without using
water, fitting the rear wheel and the importance of being prepared
during such mishaps!!! :)
At the foothill tried all the fundoo bikes - Venky's colnago - the
minute I climbed I was chided for my dhoodhwala style of climb - so
much for biking etiquettes! :D Iggy showed me how to do the free wheely
with his bike. I tried that and was rather rough on the shox. Will try
with my bike during my next leisure ride!
The coconut water is such a blessing during such rides... :)
Half a day affair - totally worth it! Waiting for my next milestone
literally and otherwise! :)
