I am unable to download the GMail application on my Sony Ericsson G900
mobile phone. When accessing http://www.gmail.com/app from the phone
browser, I am notified that the GMail application does not work on my
"Sony Ericsson UIQ". I am referred to the web interface, which is
functional but not what I want.

The SE G700 and G900 models are symbian UIQ3 devices like SE P1, P990,
M600, w950, Motorola Z8.

Even if there is no UIQ3 version that works with my phone, I would
like to be able to use the J2ME version.

Does anyone have any advice?

Could you visit this website -- http://tagjam.com -- and then follow
the 'HTTP Headers' link to grab your phone's User-Agent? You can reply
to this thread with the full User-Agent line so we can get a little
more info on your phone! Oh, and be sure you're visiting that site
from your phone :)
