Muted does not seem to work

There's a thread in my inbox that keeps showing up ever time someone
replies to it, and it's even marked as "muted", but hey, it's still
showing up in my inbox, even after I archive it. What gives? The Muted
label shows up surrounded by a box.

What setting do I change so that all e-mails are single entries. It is
very difficult to sort through the replies when everything is
automatically organized.

i think most user will love this feature:

Since we are all getting emails from both individuals and
organizations. (no matter how reserved you are when leaving your gmail
for other website registration. you will do that now or then)

I just started using GMail. I want to have the message go to Outlook

I recently enabled "right side labels." Now when I click on any
label, nothing happens. I disabled the feature and still have the
same problem.

That page talks about finding other people's information. I just want
to know WHICH COMPUTERS HAVE ACCESSED MY OWN ACCOUNT. I also want to
find out when the emails were removed.

And, besides changing my password, I want to be able to recover the
emails that were deleted. They're not even in the trash folder.

I figured it out: move the Sent Mail message back to Inbox and archive
it from there!

Probably a clumsy workaround, but... it works!

Formerly I created labels in my e-mail. I need some new labels for
newer e-mails and that option is not shown to me. I read the already
posted advice. I allowed pop-ups in Mozilla Firefox, my normal
browser. Didn't work. Then went through Internet Explorer. I cannot
find how to allow pop-ups there. Previously there was no problem.

in IT for 35 years. That is what an IT person does. My Google Groups

Using Vista is not a problem. Using IE6, which is not supported by
Google, might be the issue. IE6 does not have the Themes tab in
Settings.

The standard things to do:
- download/install the latest available updates for your browser
version.
- clear Temp Internet Files / cache and also cookies. Out of date
