Subject: Do not want Google Australia toolbar
Whenever I access Google, I get the Google Australia toolbar. I've
tried to change settings, and have sent 2 messages to Google online
(never got an answer). I was living in Australia but mostly searched
USA websites even while in Australia; now I am in California, using a
brand new computer I bought in California, and I've never asked for
Google Australia toolbar to be my default and rarely search anything
about Austrlia, but I always get "Google Australia" toolbar, which
tends to  give me odd, mostly useless sites when I search.
I've gone to 'settings' many times and there's no way to change my
default toolbar. I phoned Google and a nice lady helped me on the
phone even though she said she wasn't supposed to, but we didin't
succeed in changing my toolbar back to regular Google.

When I say 'toolbar' I just mean the main page that says 'GOOGLE' in
big rainbow letters, where I can enter whatever I want to search -- it
toolbar means anything else, that's not what I intend to refer to.
Just the very simple basic search page that comes up when I go to
'www.google.com'.

I'm astonished and pissed that my 2 messages submitted online on the
Google site (1 month ago and 2 weeks ago) never got any response at
all.

Lucy

Just as a side note, my experience shows that you are very unlikely to
get a direct response from Google.  Imagine the email overload that
they would experience by the minute.  This is why there are these
Gmail Help Discussion groups.

If you enter these groups at this link, you can find a group to suit
your issue:

It is most always your peers who answer the questions, are we are
unpaid and, once in a while, under-appreciated.  But we do try hard.

Hope that help you feel less cheated by Google.

Cheers Lucy.  :-)
