changes, you already know about scroll wheel zoom and encoded
polygons.

There's now a GGroundOverlay function, which should be useful for many
of you. I'll be following up with a blog post once we verify
everything is working as intended.

Note that Traffic is not in this release. Some/all functions may be
there, but the overlay isn't enabled.

Update:
The push a few days ago that made v2.80 into v=2.x was reverted, but
it's been re-pushed. As promised, v=2 is still v=2.78, due to the
bugginess of GGeoXML in v2.79.

Those of you using v=2.x should check your mashups to make sure all is
well.  :)

Hi all,
Last week's API push brought a lot of little additions. Check out this
page and the documentation for more information.
One thing you'll notice we didn't document were the GGeoXML additions
that Mike found - getSpan, getCenter, getBound. As Mike noted, there
was an error in the getBound code. So we'll wait until getBound is
fixed before documenting them.
I have put together an example that shows how to use getSpan and
getCenter to emulate getBound, however:

It would be good if the recent changes were added to the documention.
The documentation for GGeoXML does not mention that it takes a call
back function.
