Discuss the Google Maps API, which lets developers embed Google Maps in their own web pages with JavaScript. If you'd like to troubleshoot your development of the API, please remember the following: - Post a link, not a code snippet so that others can see your code in its proper context. - Search the Group, chances are someone else has had the same issue. - Make use of published documentation at http://www.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/

Yes, and this reminds me of why some of the GIS industry (I am a
software engineer for MicroImages ... creators of TNTmips) are actually
inclined to embrace Google Maps. They are a
great "presentational media" especially for interfacing with the average
joe and it gives
a prod to the industry to improve our GUI, TNTmips our main GIS

You said you copied them on to your server. If they exist, you really
just need to put them in the correct place, which is the site/images
subdirectory of your webserver.

Actually it is even easier than that:
The images are here:
[link]

 Thanks Andrew,

There are far easier and more direct ways of providing instruction to
remote systems than through Google Maps API. The API is fantastically
useful, primarily as a visualisation and information dissemination
tool but not for systems control. We do not intend to enter the domain
of hard real time systems, and sensors recording pollutant levels or

Not all ISPs are recognised by google.loader.ClientLocation. It doesn't
recognise any of mine.
Most IP location services will return the location of the ISPs head
office when the ISP hides the locations of the subscribers. It looks
like Google return null in such circumstances, so you might consider

Did you miss the if clause on that sentence? or did you just want
somebody to write the 3
or so "for loops" to iterate through the arrays of markers polys and
lines of EGeoXml? which I described
in the previous sentence. Its pretty easy and GPolygon, GPolyline, and
GMarker in those
arrays has its own hide and show method. Give it a try.

 Gaak!

I've hit upon a splendidly simple approach to the problem. I've
already put the markup directly in the HTML since that allows us to
have a decent print view. I had been taking and cloning the nodes and
putting them into the info window. Now instead of relying on the CSS
to get it right when its not attached to anything, I read the height
