My reflections for trip to Changi Museum

We went to Changi Museum today. One achievement today was that no one was late. This was lucky as we were going to the eastern side of Singapore. We had a chartered bus for us. I was rather surprised at the fact that two other schools were there. Apparently the government's efforts at National Education were rather... more »

18 may 2006, we visited the Changi Museum .We were greeted by a gust of cold air as we entered the Changi Museum. We were led by a knowledgeable tour guide who made history somewhat comical and relaxed way. First, we learnt about the feud between the Chinese and the Japanese during the early... more »

Reflection on trip to Changi Museum
|
| |
I started the day by taking the usual bus to school, where all of us had flag raising at the terraces. We then assembled at the 4I classroom. After that, we proceeded to the Lecture Theatre 2 to view a short video clip, as well as receiving a short briefing. Later, we went to the car park and chatted among ourselves while waiting for our bus. The journey to Changi Museum took a long time from Hwa Chong Institution. Actually, I must admit that I did not even know that this place exists! Upon reaching our destination, we had to pay a fare of $3 for the tour guide. After introducing himself, the tour guide began the guide by introducing the chapel to us. The tour guide told us that the cross was the only item that was not a replica. The... more »

Reflections for the Changi Museum trip

I have learnt many things from this trip to Changi Museum. First, we watched a video produced by Mediacorp on the topic about the murals located at Changi Prison Block 151. Stanley Wrren was a Prisoner Of War. He suffered a lot but he still used his outmost effort to draw the murals. He wanted to enlighten and inspire other POWs by drawing the... more »
