Thank you, Brady, for starting my morning with a laugh. That was really funny!
I uploaded Popcorn's pic to tinypic.com last night to post to AFL, even though Popcorn doesn't talk or whistle the theme from Andy Griffith. (She only squawks annoyingly.) Then I emailed the link to myself to test it out, and it worked just fine. However, tinypic gives you several links, including one saying "Direct Link for Layouts" and one that says "IMG Code for Forums and Message Boards." The latter one starts and ends with [IMG] -- Was I supposed to use that one, including the [IMG] part?

I'm not sure why the author of the ad shown in Small Town News felt it necessary to mention the missing cockatiel's talent...*all* birds in North Carolina can whistle the them from the Andy Griffith Show....r

I had thought Hamm had been on before and perhaps he talked about the show. But I just have a lousy memory and had caught him on Kimmel. Jimmy had seen a few episodes and was asking good questions. I think it's tough for a new guest (or any guest) to come on and want to mainly talk about his show. And for most of them, it would be no more than a plug. But "Mad Men" covers many issues regarding how society was changing in 1960 and is going to be the most interesting thing to talk about.

I don't know why Amanda didn't want to stay either since little Frankie is accustomed to being with her nanny (or her dad) while Mommy is working. Possibly Amanda still was feeling nervous or maybe nanny was taking a day off. Coincidentally, just a few days ago I was very surprised to see Ms. Peet and her beautiful baby daughter smiling at me from the cover of a magazine in my mailbox. I was surprised because I don't subscribe to "Cookie" and had never even heard of it before. Apparently, Amanda has started quite the brouhaha with readers because she is strongly in favor of vaccinations. (The cover headline is "Amanda Peet speaks out for vaccinations.") I think she has mentioned on the Late Show before that someone in her family is a doctor so she has done a lot of research into the medical opinions surrounding the whole vaccination issue. Anyway, the article was interesting and the photos of Amanda and Frankie are gorgeous!

I apologize if anyone has already noted this, but weeks back Dave made a shout-out to anyone who's had hip replacement. I figured it was his mom. Pretty impressive that Bill was back to work only 2 weeks after the surgery! My mom is totally recovered and good as new....it's amazing what they can do these days.

Well - all I can say, and I love being able to say it to you, Dake, is "SLMH." Literally. My husband's brother in law's brother had a horn installed in his car (back in 1978) that played "La Cooka Rocha." Yes, purposely. As our wedding reception wound down, Tony and I departed to our hotel for the Big Wedding Night Whoop-De-Doo. The hotel was located on a highway that most of the wedding guests from Philadelphia would travel on their way home. So later that (magical) evening, whilst we were, uh, whoop-de-dooing, we heard, far off in the distance, the romantic sounds of "La Cooka Rocha" wafting through the night.
