I hate tribute bands

What is Dave thinking? I know he does not book a lot of good acts
anymore like he used to (did anyone see "The Answer" the other night?
Puke) but tribute bands are a bad idea no matter how good a performance
they may put on. The idea of watching someone pretend to be someone
else--why don't they make their own music if they really have talent?

Finally, my local news is addressing my concern for my battery
operated portable emergency TV that is going to be useless after the
digital switch over in February. I should have bought the Radio Shack
portable digital TV when Alan gave me the link because this report
states that Radio Shack has the *only* portable battery operated

Dave's Dolby Digital - only 2 channel?

Is the Late Show only putting out a left and right channel on their
Dolby Digital sound feed? My receiver has lights for each channel and
I get all 6 for most shows that are broadcast in Dolby 5.1 (including
the local newscast that immediately preceeds the Late Show), but I'm
only seeing the 2 channels for the Late Show.
