I will suggest getting a Btwin Rockrider 5.1 instead of Target. It is
a relatively better bike and comes cheaper.
Priced at 9.5 K in Decathlon (if you are a member or know somebody who
is a member).
Heard that RR cycles Ulsoor is selling it for around 10 K.
My friends have Targets and they are not very happy about it.
Cheers

i will agree that the RR 5.1 is better than Firefox target... one o my
friends has it too and he s not very happy with it as well...
Also.. RR 5.2 is even better.. i drove both and could feel the
difference between both.. but then again.. RR 5.1 is a gud bet for the
kind of price it comes too...
Apart frm Deacthlon one can buy it from Madiwala too.. there s a shop
there which is giving it out for 9.5 K.. same as tht at decathlon.. i
got mine on 9th of this month.. done 250 Km so far..
@ Prabhakar.. i am a member at decathlon.. I ll be going there this
weekend.. If you would want to join I ll be glad...
Happy Riding...

5.2 is no problems. The guys are decathlon are nice and I have the
membership if you want it.
But the store of wild craft at museum road can get it for you and at a
price cheaper than the price at decathlon (guess they buy more numbers
than most of us).
I have the 5.3 and its great.

I've tried RR 5.1 and 5.2. The brakes in RR are a lot better, but the
ones in Target aren't bad at all.
If I were buying, I'd go either for the RR 5.2 or the Target
(depending on the cash available), but not for RR 5.1 as 5.1 is a lot
heavier.

I bought RR5.2 tonight. it's really awesome!!!! (better than i
thought).
I want to really thank some people here, some friends voluntarily came
and asked me do you need any help with regard to decathlon membership?
Thats amazing. (I am sure ALL folks do help me)
ravindranath,namit,alphazed,rajbir,rashimn etc. (many actually)
Namit helped what are the things needs to be considered while buying
bike in the shop.
"MY" bike RR5.2 configurations, (I bought in RRCycles.)
just simple, no extra accessories,
gray color-framesize L
i would say gears are really really useful in roads also. (i didnt
some some combination )
next week/month i m planning to buy a speedometer,light,etc
i m looking forward to ride with you guys
BBC rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks

I bought a RR5.2 at RR Cycles from ulsoor.
many people voluntarily came to me and asked do you need any help with
decathlon membership. that's great-BBC rocks.
Thanks every one helping me to get some idea on it.
namit helped me what are all the things need to be considered while
buying the bike. -Thanks a lot.
Color-black(i was looking for RED-i felt,it doesnt good for me)
need to buy accessories next week (like speedometer ,light etc)
Regarding the ride from ulsoor to my home. (it was my first ride in a
gear cycles)
it was excellent, i felt the usage of gear (i tried most of the
combination).
Today Morning i went to marathahalli in 15 mins :) (i guess very
fast). it was also a good ride.
i used most of the gears. while changing the gears it makes sound.
but i love that sound. ;)
I m looking forward to get a small ride with you guys. (after some
week, we ll go for long ride)
BBC really helpful. even RR Cycles store guy aware of BBC group, i
told him that i m member of BBC group, then their way of dealing me
was different (they went in too technical explanation)
Thanks

congrats prabhakar on your new bike. I also bought RR 5.2 about a month or
two ago and so far am very very happy with it. note that I use it only for
rides within the city, and cannot comment on how robust it is -- but for my
purpose it is perfect.
only two flipsides to the bike so far:
1. the pedals have sharp teeth -- you can scratch your feet if you don't
remember this
2. the front gear rings don't have an outer covering (which other brands
like Trek/Merida have) -- so a few times the end of my trousers has got
caught in the teeth of the outer gear ring. this is all the more certain to
happen if the chain is on the outer-most ring
but these are really trivial, and mattered only the first one/two times
these happened to me!

Hi,
I too got it from the same place (RR Cycles, Ulsoor) for 14.5 k. This was
almost the exact price that I was told and so didn't bother to bargain much
..
I too rode the cycle from the shop back to my home at Banaswadi (Approx. 12
kms?) and felt the ride was very comfortable and was able to do it without
much struggle (a myth that I was holding all this while.. whew!!)
Thanks and Regards,

Congrats basker. what color??? Common RR5.2!
beware of driving the bike on the road. (i got punctured by a 2inch
screw-ofcourse car/lorry would have punctured-changed the tube
itself )
otherwise it's good.
get a nice sunglass, attractive dress, and ride in the traffic.
everybody's eyes on you!!!!!!
