My blog was suspended for no reason- it's a site for the New York
Central System Historical Society, it's a group dedicated to
preserving the history of a the New York Central Railroad (1850-1968).
Most of the members are in their 70s and 80s and are yelling at me
that our site has been yanked. I don't know what we did wrong, but I
requested a review over a week ago and have heard nothing. How do I
get a human to review my blog site and reactivate it? There seems to
be no way to contact support at all except leave oblique messages on
the forum here. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. The
blog was nycshs.blogspot.com, referred from nycshs.org.
Otto -- I'm in the same situation you are experiencing. My new blog --
http://foodsandflavorsofsanantonio.blogspot.com -- was marked as spam
last night and was locked. The message said it would be deleted in 20
days. I clicked on the "request review" but it's still locked and the
message is still there. I'd think that a new message would appear,
something like, "your blog is currently under review" -- but nothing.
I'm hoping that a human can review it and see that it's simply a new
blog with no posts because I'm waiting on the book cover to be
finished before I launch the blog. Maybe it was seen as spam because
I've built the sidebar with links to my other sites and blogs.
Blogger -- please help! My new blog is going to be a powerful
marketing tool for my new cookbook.
If anyone knows how long these reviews take, please post a message
here. Thanks.

I agree! I JUST got put in that situation as well. I have two posts,
I created my blog yesterday. http://workingmompov.blogspot.com/ I've
been working for a while to figure out what to write about and now
that I"m ready to write I can't! I'm so annoyed!! I decided to go
with blogspot because its with Google and figured I'd have good luck.
I can't see any reasion it would have been marked as spam, I put two
links on, and have two posts, I even added a poll.
zencoffee - I agree! There should have been some other sort of
message that says its in review!
Blogger, this is an issue that needs attention ASAP, I don't know what
went wrong, but PLEASE fix our blogs!!
I've had my 'mommy" blog http://sahmsplace.blogspot.com/ here for
three years (come November!)
and for some reason it's been marked as well--I've been having to put
in those stupid
security letters in weird fonts (which I can't read half the time)
whenever I make a post, grrr,
very aggravating. I've written to TPTB several times and haven't
gotten ANY reply back, nada,
nothing, again, VERY aggravating!!! I hope that maybe TPTB will see
these posts and help
all of us who aren't spamming blogger.com!!!

whodunit - To me it looks like yours MAY not be blocked anymore, When
I went to the link I didn't get the annoying "Possible Blogger Terms
of Service Violations" error with the arrow that says Proceed. When
did you first fill out the "Request Unlock Review"?
I just clicked on all the links and it looks like they're all
unlocked--in the last five minutes. Yea! But I still have the warning
message on my dashboard. How about you guys? Is the message still on
your dashboard?

that's because your browser remembered that you accepted it :( if you
clear out cash or use a new browser (that you haven't viewed the link
in yet) then you'll be able to tell.
I'm still seeing it on everyone elses except on whodunit's blog. :(
Coca -- You're right. It's still locked. Just used IE browser instead
of my normal Firefox and my blog is still locked. The person who
started this thread -- Otto -- looks like their blog was deleted.

No I have no clue what's going on. I just submitted another request to
review. Do they email you to confirm, or what? No way to contact
anyone, no communication from Blogger, just "blog not found."
Looks like Google is totally awesome at deleting legitimate blogs...
I'm following all the rules? What gives? I'm sure my account will be
deleted for criticizing them, too. Oh well, Google, if you're reading
this, I'd love to continue using my Blogger account, just tell me what
I have to do! I'm waiting for a clear sign from above!

Just wanted to report back in. Blogger unlocked my blog. Took a little
less than two days after I clicked the request for review. Thank you,
thank you, thank you!
Apparently, this has happened to a lot of new blogs recently. It's
being talked about on writer's forums.
