I recently set up a blog and now want to put a link to an affiliate,
but when I put that in the box indicated, it comes back with this
error message: URL may not contain '<'

I copy and paste the complete link,  for example I put in the
following:
<a href="http://excel76367.ipodpsp.hop.clickbank.net/"
target="_top">Click Here!</a>

Should I remove something before I paste it or what?

I have tried putting in other links and get the same error message.

Can anyone help me with this?

are you putting this in a link list page element?

then just use this.....
http://excel76367.ipodpsp.hop.clickbank.net/

in link list you don't use html
<a href=""></a>
