Got this error when I tried to publish:
"Your HTML cannot be accepted: Tag is not allowed: <meta
equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">"
But I compose using WYSIWYG editor and never edit HTML codes. How
could this happen? What should I do?

MS WORD is good in its own place, but it can make the Blogger world go
crazy, so much so that it's not funny. Mine also went a long time
before it messed up, and then it was relentlessly screwed up! Avoid
Word!

I think I know more about the problem. It happened after I upgraded to
Firefox 3.0.1. The new version copies additional HTML codes from MS
Word, which are somehow in conflict with Blogger's template.
I haven't tried nanu's suggestion, but I can publish my post after
manually remove the unwanted codes.
Basically I draft in MS Word because my PC is not always online. Now I
may need to draft directly with Blogger's editor.

I think this is what happened to me. Also I don't seem to have an
ignore button. I do my pieces on Word and copy and paste them on my
blog, which worked fine until a couple of days ago after I upgraded
Firefox. I'm hoping I can copy and paste elsewhere. Also, I can copy
from some of the sites the publish my op-eds, but so far problems
there too. Any tips would be very appreciated.

To whom it may concern. Most of you folks can probably format circles
around me, but I have come up with what for me is a (tiresome)
solution to this problem. What I do is copy the submission from a
certain site, and that seems to run fine when I paste in in my blog.
I don't try to copy and paste anymore from Word. The site I use is
Open Salon. Hopefully Blogger will solve this problem for us since
apparently it has to do with some destructive code.

Hi 2point8
I can only ask you to please avoid using Word at all costs if you
intend to copy and paste to ANY online application. It isn't, despite
suggestions to the contrary, a problem with Blogger but that Word uses
some really odd conversions when it saves as HTML. Just try updating a
website using DreamWeaver and you can almost see the program
shuddering in horror!
Want to work offline? Word isn't the only answer but if it is for you
then save as plain text, copy that and do the final formatting in
blogger when you're ready.
