I just wanted to say that i'm VERY excited to see this working, and it
appears to work GREAT!
I have been working on an OpenSocial application, testing in Orkut, as
well as writing up a six-article how-to series about doing opensocial
'gadgets'. Just today, I saw that you made this feature available. I
put my gadget in place on the page, but it didn't work until i
commented out the social parts of the code. in any case, all the
gadget code works just fine, so my gadget is working.
unfortunately, it only works in IE right now, and i have a couple
friends helping work out the cross-browser compatibility issues
(mostly related to handling xml from the webservices). we're re-
writing the xml pieces using sarissa now, and hopefully will have
cross-browser support within a few days.
that aside, this is really exciting. great work you guys!
if anyone else is interested in this type of development, i'm looking
to help out :) let's collaborate and build something cool. what i have
on my page right now is a simple gadget that just makes an album
search to rhapsody api. my goal is to build a really nice, cross-
browswer set of functionality to allow for a solid framework for
development. any collaboration would be welcomed, and this project i
am making completely open-source...i hope to ultimately develop some
type of a mashup that allows the gadget to tie back into content on
the page and lookup music, books, etc that may be related in
interest...just a test project to have some fun and learning.
i'm going to start working on gadgets formatted more for blogs....and
for the blogging community. anyone have any interesting ideas you want
me to help out with? just leave comments on my blog and we'll see what
develops!

Here's my contribution: NHL Team Writers is a collection of every NHL
blogger for every team in one tiny Google gadget! It's the perfect
gadget for any hockey blogger.

Roger, I've lovin the new blogger gadgets, but found a little bug in
one of the Blogger ones in IE6 (Subscription Links). Where should I
report that to the team? Other than that, I'm thrilled with the ease
of adding these into my blog. Thanks to all out there cranking the

The additions of gadgets looks like a great idea! Unfortunately, and
old standby "gadget" seems to have disappeared from the Layout
options: Google Search (predefined search topic that lists current
search results).
I have used Google Search on 3 of my blogs and would like to add it to
another. Can anyone tell me how I can add this formerly-easy-to-find
item?

I would love to share . . . especially my blog at lastdays2012 IF
GOOGLE COULD FIND IT! Google search and google blog search turns up
nine hits . . . none of them my blog! Do you have a gadget that will
get Google in gear? Possible a long barbed shaft and a possible
target at Google? Maybe I'm expecting too much... wanting Google to
find something.
