Whole Foods store, Vitamin Cottage, vegan stores, health food
stores.  Did you search for Veganise online?  Call your grocer?
Try this:
http://vegetarian.about.com/od/guideproductpicks/qt/vegenaise.htm

Where are you located?  Did you try a vegan news group?

At this link, you can either buy it online or locate a store that sells
it. Note that it's spelled Vegenaise:

It was been awhile but I recall liking the equivalent Spectrum vegan
product better.

I love it. It's the closest thing I've found to Best Foods, and I like
Best Foods.  That said, I know vegans who hate it, and vegans who adore it.

I hate that stuff, but again, I know vegans who think that it's way
better than my favorite, which happens to be Vegenaise.

Serene, I'm really curious about this product, but still too skeptical to
rush out a buy a jar.  I buy either Best Foods or make my own.  Can you
tell me what the ingredients are in it?  I'm making the assumption that
it's probably healthier than regular mayonnaise.  I haven't actually looked
for it in the store yet, but I'm sure it's readily available in my area.

Thanks!

I don't know that it's any healthier, Wayne. It's just vegan, which
means there are no eggs in it. Now normally, I think eggless
"mayonnaise" tastes like ass, but I like this stuff, and when I was a
vegan, it kept me from the pit of despair. However, it's essentially
100% fat, just like mayonnaise is, and probably has about the same
amount of calories and stuff, but I wouldn't know, because calorie
counting isn't my deal.

If you have no reason not to eat real mayo, I'd say do the real mayo,
especially if you're fine with eggs in other stuff, or if you're able to
make your own mayo, which of course is superior to even my favorite
commercial brands.

Thanks, Serene.  I have no problem with eggs, and as you said, the fat is
just as high as regular mayo.  I don't count calories per se, but I do
count WW points which are based on the ratio of fat, fiber, and calories.
Still, I'm curious enough to give this a try.  The next time I need mayo I
think I'll pick up a jar.
