FWIW, I saw that the 2008 WSOP pot limit omaha event is being shown on ESPN at 8:00 pm EST tonight. Hopefully this marks the beginning of the 2008 coverage.

I think you're a day late Mike. There was a 2008 $10K pot limit HE event on last night, sounds like a rerun of that.

The PLHE was on Tuesday, not PLO, but without looking at the listings I am assuming it is the same one since they are advertising for Tuesday nights. On Jul 23 2008 6:39 PM, Will_gamble wrote:

On the West Coast there was a baseball game on. ESPN2, however, had 2008 WSOP pot limit Hold 'em. So yes, the 2008 tv schedule has begun.
The company I have here, Cox Communications, won't let me record them as NEW (first run). I wonder what's up with that?

Had a lightning strike early Tuesday morning. It knocked out power and cable in my area and fried my TVs and DVRs. They just restored my cable late this afternoon, so it's the first time I saw the 2008 WSOP coverage was being shown. In any case, I can finally stop watching the 2007 WSOP re-runs.

No kidding. I caught the 2008 episode last night. It was good to see Mike Sexton at a final table. When you see it, what do you make of his laydown against Bloch?
