"Obama arrived on the base 3:19 p.m. local time (1 a.m. Eastern Standard Time) and received a rousing welcome from 1,500 troops in camouflage uniforms, many holding cameras or pointing cellphones to snap pictures.
"You guys make a pretty good photo op," the president said. "
"He got a huge cheer when he told them he was increasing military pay. "That's what you call an applause line," he said, before boarding his jet and taking off at 4:11 p.m. "

Hey Bub, that's what you call a sense of humor. Even Bush made his audience laugh every now and then, although that was mainly unintentional.

A Freudian slip, or parapraxis, is an error in speech, memory, or physical action that is interpreted as occurring due to the interference of some unconscious ('dynamically repressed') wish, conflict, or train of thought.

Everybody, and I mean everybody, who knows President Bush personally says he is very quick witted and humorous (do some google searches if you can figure out how). He can't read a teleprompter as smoothly as President Oprompter can...big deal.

He mangles words and sentence syntax. That's not the same at all as mangling a thought. It reveals a lack of attention to detail but has pretty much nothing to do with innate ignorance.
I'm not a Bush fan at all but I know lot's of people in Texas (and Louisiana) who talk funny but are far from ignorant or stupid. You're engaing in a typical Yankee biased way of evaluating people that often results in your buying an empty fertilizer tank.
Which is pretty much what happened in the last election. We bought an empty fertilizer tank.

I'm not going to argue selective statements with you, like his plural of, "Internets." It's clear in a number of his statements he has a slip of the tongue. My reference is about actual incorrect assumptions and variant thoughts. The guy was no genius and he proved it.
