Are the womenz of the WNBA hypocritical when they desire the credibility and panache that comes along with having former *NBA* players involved and often coaching in their league... but get all pissy when one of those former NBA players, when simply trying to break up the WNBA's first cat-brawl, puts his hands out and pushes a WNBA player out of the way so she can't get into the fight?

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours." (General Sir Charles Napier)

I would agree with you, but it is hard for me to work up any sympathy for Rick Mahorn.
Part of it was because it's Rick Mahorn I guess. You have to admit the image of a big black guy in the middle of a scuffle of ladies can appear rather intimidating.
Gender stuff still has some minor issues, kind of like how female reporters, water carriers, janitors, etc. can go into male lockerooms, but not the opposite.

"Hammer's Slammers have become a vehicle for a message that I think needs to be more widely known. Veterans who've written or talked to me already understand, but a lot of other people don't. When you send a man out with a gun, you create a policy maker. When his ass is on the line, he will do whatever he needs to do. And if the implications of that bother you, the time to do something about it is before you decide to send him out." (David Drake, Vietnam veteran, author)
