George Mougios Reports-more on Faifield's illegal massage parlors

                 George Mougios Reports

                          Common Sense

November 21, 2006

It seems that everyone in Fairfield is quiet about the recent raid on that Korean Massage parlor on the Post Road in Fairfield, CT , over the closed Devore's Bakery. I have been harping about this Fairfield based massage parlors for many years now. One day, some eight years ago, I was extolling against such entities being allowed in Fairfield when an old dame of Southport came up to me and whispered, "Shhh..Mr. Mougios, we don't want people to know that such things go on in Fairfield."

The question is why are they allowed to go on? I think that officials were being paid off to keep their mouths shut and stay away and look the other way, until the FEDS got involved.

When Gary Raytar, opened that massage parlor, he spent a great deal of money renovating the second floor of the building on the Post Road over Devores Bakery, over $60.000. I knew him well, or so I thought. I questioned him on the legalities of such an enterprise and the morality of it and warned him that as a Christian, he should not be involved.  He practically swore to me that it was strictly "massage" oriented and nothing else, persih the tought!

The question now is, who owns the Korean massage parlor? Raytar once told me he sold it. Did he? To whom?

Did the Fairfield Police know about it? In other words, was it the FEDS that forced the issue? I spoke to many leading Fairfield politicians and leaders in Fairfield including the reporter, Andy Brophy of CT POST and all laid hands off. I emphasize, I spoke to top politicians now in power and the leaders of Fairfield and not one did anything about the situation and they read this newsletter.

The other massage parlor  that I wrote about that is still at large is Diedras on the Post Road near the Circle. This establishment has not been detected as of yet. This place has been around for many many years. The building is owned by Norman Pollack. I once visited the place when Pollack asked me to accompany him as he had to collect the rent and ask Diedra to sign a lease. A beautiful young lady clad in a Las Vegas type outfit came to serve us coffee. As we were leaving, she said to me, " Come up and see me some time." using an old Mae West line.

I asked Pollack about the situation and was told that as long as she paid the rent, he didn't inquire about anything else. Others told me that the secret to Diedras is the no sex takes place on the premises. Clients take the girls to local motels.

The other rumor I heard was that the last Police Chief, who retired, was on the take from Diedra and that police were told to stay away. This is a fact that can be easily ascertained by investigators by questioning the police. The Police Chief once bumped into me at Sam Robert's funeral, gave me a dirty look while I was talking with First Seletcman Flatto, but never said a word. I was expecting him to confront me and accuse me of lying about his role with Diedras. He didn't do so.  As I previously stated, Diedras is now actively for sale.

It seems that the first story on the Korean massage closing was one of the POST'S most widely read stories, according to the Post's web page.  One would think the POST would do a followup including the info herein.  I have written many articles about this situation many years ago and up to now nothing was done. I think that nothing would have been done if the FEDS didn't force the issue. The POST reported that other illegal activity took place but doesn't elaborate. I wonder what else?

The Post should inquire as to who at the Post ordered Brophy to lay off the story and fire that guy.
